Keys, Cards & Readers

Some things to understand about keys:

• If you give a key to someone for a short term they can have a copy made unless you have a HIGH SECURITY RESTRICTED key system.
• Keys that say “Unlawful to duplicate” or “DO NOT COPY” do not protect you from unauthorized key duplication.
• High Security Keys protect you by restricting duplication. This way you are the person in charge of who gets a duplicate of your key. If you have given a key to a short term contractor and he returns that key you can rest assured that no duplicates have been made.
