Ellen Dumm

Ellen Dumm has worked part time as the Bookkeeper for Tinder Co. since 1991. She does much more than simply keep the books. She handles the insurance needs of the company, is responsible for distributing the company’s charitable donations, handles payroll functions and helps to indoctrinate new employees.

Before working at Tinder Co. Ellen worked at American United Life for 10 years in 4 different departments. She also worked for the City of Indianapolis and for Bio-Dynamics.

Ellen is Jim Tinder’s sister, one of 6 children. She is married to Mike for 28 years and has 3 adult children, Sean, Jerry and Ashley and one grand daughter Laura. Currently Jerry still lives at home and they also have a Labrador type dog named Ewan.

Outside of work and home Ellen is an avid bowler and she is learning to play bridge. She volunteers with Girl Scouts and Indianapolis Alumnae Panhellenic. She loves to travel and has been to 18 different countries.

Ellen is proud to have been able to work part time and still give her time volunteering at her children’s schools and activities. She also finds time to help her extended family members with various personal needs. She has a helpful, loving nature, never seems to expect any returns. She is truly an angel on earth.
